Month 23 (Year 2): Decade Journey
Month 23, December 2025.
$1 million USD in 5 years, 60 months, but will keep going until 120 months
Where I am
HAPPY NEW YEAR. Writing this right after New Year’s eve feels great. I had plenty of time to think and strategize where I am going and I love doing that, it has been a great 2 weeks (Christmas and New Year’s).
Here is a snapshot of last month’s (December) revenue number:
Every year I do a look back and try to do a Year Review and I am honestly super impressed with where I am at today. I would never imagine I’d be at this revenue number less than a year since I took this challenge seriously.
Last year I wrote a letter for me to be sent on Jan 1st 2026 and here is what I wanted to achieve back then:
“Now for 2025, what would I like you to have done:
1. Married Joyce.
2. Managed to turn a fun project into something useful for other people.
3. Lost 10kg by December 2026.
4. Decide where to live and take steps in that direction (buy land/house).
I hope some of these worked out, if not, that’s okay too. We’ll achieve them someday.””
The only thing I didn’t do was lose 10kg, I lost 5kg instead. I am also happy to announce I bought my first piece of land, in a great neighborhood in Brazil.
I remember that Dec 2024 I didn’t feel great, mostly due to working with a company and with people I didn’t really like. They were actually terrible.
But now, Dec 2025 it is just awesome to see where I am going and everything I have accomplished and learned this year.
The courses are also doing great on Udemy, Dec was record revenue over there, $53 without lifting a finger. I will have another course in Jan, this is great.
Now, let’s talk business.
Where I am going
I have already taken the steps towards a more professional agency. To be honest, right now I am 90% a freelance and 10% agency and I want to change that. What needs to change:
Professionally looking website
Better SOPs (Internally and externally)
Better Service Lines and proposals
Bigger team
Honestly, the most cumbersome and harder to make is 2. Having good SOPs is going to be a game-changer but doing that is hard. I have already done the easy stuff:
Setup a CRM (Hubspot)
Setup a Project Management tool (Clickup)
Started mapping tasks and processes for easy replicability in ClickUp
As I mentioned, I’ve taken a few days off to completely focus on my business, how I want to scale and where I want to be at the end of 2026. Here is a snapshot:
What do I want for this year
Have a well lubricated machine that I know works if I suddenly disappear
Have different revenue channels not tied to my time
Have fun
What is the end-game of what I am building?
Good Ending:
An agency that can profit me $10k/mo and takes 20h/week to run
A diversified income stream (Affiliates, Courses, Niche tech products)
Bad Ending:
An agency that profits $3k/mo and takes 60h/week to run.
THE NORTH STAR METRIC
Reach $100.000,00 accumulated profit by Dec 2026.
Reach $20.000,00 Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) by Dec 2026.
Reach $500/month with a self-serve offering not tied to my time (Courses, Affiliate, SaaS, Marketplace products, etc)
In my point of view, the main thing I need to work on is getting even more consistent with the things that scale: content, niche products and courses. I really want to get to the dream of passive, self-serve revenue and I will work towards that.
I have already mapped out what that will look like in terms of content.
To hit my revenue goals, I’ve already mapped my channels.
I am PUMPED for this year. Let's fucking go. Here is the usual list I use to keep track of things:
