Month 31: Decade Journey
Month 30, August 2026.
$1 million USD in 5 years, 60 months, but will keep going until 120 months
Where I am
Alright, no we officially started the other 1/3rd of the challenge. Let’s go
This month was super busy. I feel like I am having less and less time, but to be honest a big part of that is I am getting married on the 12th (less than 7 days as of writing this). We are doing a party for 80 people so there are a lot of logistics we are going after (mostly my wife as I am super busy with work).
In August I did much more client work, which honestly makes me disappointed because the more time I allocate to client work, the less time I allocate to scale the business.
It has really been a struggle to manage doing work for clients and working on the business itself. They are completely different things and I noticed I can’t do much of both.
I’m coming to the conclusion that, if I really want to scale the business I will have to “let it go” in some way. Allocate responsibility to employees and that’s pretty much it. If I don’t do that I’m just working more part time jobs for every new client.
Oh, one big thing that happened this month: I lost pretty much all my automations that I had running in Claude.
People say that Coding Agents are the future but man, I don’t see a large organization with people older than 50 yo doing all the work required to make this run.
I learned that if you don’t have remote control in the Desktop app, if anything happens to your computer, everything you had under scheduled tasks are gone. This is batshit crazy to me. Also, the option to run this in the Cloud is not easy either.
I had to make a clean windows install on my computer and erased everything, including Claude files.
Lesson learned: the way I approach automations is like this:
Try and create an n8n automation (because then I can simply upload the JSON on GDrive and that’s it)
Have Claude create a zip file “backup”. That I then go and upload to GDrive as well.
This is the safe way for me to make sure work is not lost.
Where I am going
Content performance has been lackluster recently. I nailed content creation but lost content distribution. My recent pieces on linkedin are getting fewer and fewer impressions.
I think overall people are simply tired of consuming too much content. They learned that consuming content is a terrible game to play. To be honest I still have to figure out what resonates for most people, now that I am doing it consistently I kind of went into the “auto-pilot” mode which is not ideal for creativity
Youtube videos are also not doing great, but I am learning a lot so I am actually ok with that.
Having Wednesday morning blocked off for content is a great thing. I recently blocked off Friday’s morning for sales but hasn’t been working as well.
To fix this, I will probably tune down the quantity in order to make more quality stuff. Instead of 2 linkedin posts per week, have only one. And maybe one video every 2 weeks instead of every week. Not really sure.
Another big topic for this month was the GTM Academy for LATAM. This is proving to be harder than initially scoped. There is just so much that goes into this, but the hardest part has been to actually record the videos. I will probably launch the website later this week as well, let’s see how that goes.
Reminder from the previous month:
Be more consistent with the things that scale. Nothing is as bad as it seems.
Here is the usual list I use to keep track of things:
August plan and how it went: ✅❌ bad month :(
Automate Content Drafts & Workflow ❌
Create newsletter on Beehiive (for LATAM) ✅ (kinda, created the account and setup)
Content Distribution System ❌
Start recording GTM Academy (Improve Video quality) ❌
Launch DJ GTM Campaigns (VC + Evergreen) ✅ (launched Evergreen)
September plan:
Launch GTM Academy website
